Lisa Lansing is a Teacher Training Mentor for Core Dynamics® Pilates out of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Core Dynamics® Pilates is retiring from Teacher Training, so we are moving to Harmony Studios, in Pittsburgh, a previous Core Dyanmics Studio.

Our studio is a Mentoring Studio, offering teachers the opportunity to become good, high quality Pilates teachers! As of 2011, Lisa is no longer offering her mentoring program.

Instead, aspiring teachers can check out Harmony Studios in Pittsburgh and go through their program. If you are accepted into the program, you can work with Lisa to use Inspiral Motion as your home studio to complete your requirements.

WHAT WE OFFER:

1. Prepatory lessons to get you ready.
2. Supervised practice teaching hours
3. Personal Practice Hours
4. Private Lessons with Ceritified teachers to get your questions answered.
5. Availability to "observe" and gain your supervised teaching hours.

Basic Certification requirements include:

1. Pre-Training Lessons

   Learn the essentials of Classical Pilates Mat and Machine work at Inspiral Motion with certified teachers. Students pay a base fee of $55 per hour to work with certified teachers. $75 per hour to work with Lisa Lansing.

2. 4 Teacher Training Courses

   In Pittsburgh.

3. Practice Teaching Hours - 125 hours

Get experience teaching students the Pilates method. We can help you get these hours done. You can either rent our space or we can help you build a client base at the studio.

4. Personal Practice Hours - 100 to 150 hours (depending on your program)

This can include 100 hours of personal practice and 50 hours of personal study - anatomy, etc. Rent our equipment to finish your hours.

5. Studio Assistance, Teaching Observation and Mentoring Hours - 150 hours

This includes watching others teach, assisting others as they teach or assisting in the studio doing administrative work or cleaning equipment, and attending Mentoring Weekends with our staff.

6. Additional personal study hours including anatomy, kinesiology, private lessons with teachers etc.

   Additional private lessons with our Instructors are arranged on an "as needed" basis and prices

Total hours for certification are 450, but most teachers at Inspiral Motion have 500 - 600 total hours by the time they certify.

Pilates Certifications can be acquired through Harmony Studios in Pittsburgh.

Teachers who go through our program, certify well, prove to be good teachers, and are able to maintain good working ethics (attendance, tardiness, timeliness of lessons, client retention, etc.) will be offerd teaching positions with our studio!
